| The SRC at Rose Bay Secondary College provides an excellent opportunity to promote and nurture student leadership. As a democratically elected student body it plays an important role in the decision-making processes of the school. The SRC comprises a number of committees including the social, sporting, environment and welfare committees. The committees set goals for what they would like to achieve each term. The SRC is responsible for organising the agenda for as well as running the weekly assemblies. The annual election of the SRC begins in October as the Year 12s leave to begin their Higher School Certificate exams with the election of the new school captains and vice captains from among the Year 11 students going into Year 12. This is followed by the election of the remaining members of the senior (stage 6) SRC four additional year 12 members and six additional year 11 members. It is the responsibility of the senior SRC to help organise the elections for the junior (stages 4 and 5) SRC from among students in years 7-10.
