Community Relationships

Academy BJE

The Board of Jewish Education has a close relationship with Rose Bay Secondary College through their provision of staff to teach the Hebrew program in the school. Further information about the Academy BJE can be found at

WAYS

Waverley Action for Youth Services are engaged to provide programs for students in Years 7-10 that supplement the PD/H/PE program within the school. Staff from WAYS come into the school to deliver workshop programs in areas such as alcohol and other drugs, resilience, peer relationships and bullying. Further information about the services WAYS offers is available at

Going Green

Environmental concerns are very important to the RBSC community. In 2004 the school was audited for its environmental performance and many of the report’s recommendations have already been implemented — for example, re-use and recycling bins for paper have been put in every classroom, recycled paper is used in printers and photocopiers and new practices regarding electricity and water use have been put in place. The school also has a rain water retention system that allows collected and stored rain water to be used to water the oval.
