Administrative Information

School administration and support staff (SASS) play a vital role in the running of our school. They work in the school's front office, school library, food technology and science areas. A general assistant also works at the school to help with maintenance of the building and grounds. These members of staff are integral to the daily running of the school.

Front Office

The office can be found by entering the school through the southern entrance on Hardy Street and is open 8.30am-3.30pm Monday to Friday. Staff can help with all general inquiries and matters such as enrolment, attendance, bus passes, timetables, and payments.

Bell Times

Morning bell time is 9:00 am after which students attend roll call. All classes finish at 3.20pm except on Tuesdayss, when staff and professional development meetings are held, and Wednesdays when school finishes at 12.35pm for sport. Sport finishes at 3pm.

School Buses

There are school buses available for the students to transport them to and from school. The major routes pick up and drop off students from Bondi Junction interchange, Watsons Bay, Randwick, Maroubra and Edgecliff. For more information please contact the school.

How to Enrol

Standard Enrolments

RoseBay Secondary College is an inclusive community school drawing its students from feeder primary schools such as Bronte Public School in the south, Paddington Public School, Glenmore Road Public School on the City fringes and Vaucluse Public School to the north.

Applications for enrolment in Year 7 are made in primary schools. Parents and carers can nominate RBSC as their school of choice with priority given to families residing within the drawing area.

Application for enrolment in Years 8-12 can be made any time through the Principal.

At the enrolment interview with the Principal or delegate, please bring with you your child's birth certificate or passport, records of previous educational experiences, reports and other relevant documentation including proof of address. An enrolment package, appropriate to the stage and year will be provided detailing requirements and subjects available. Special consideration can be made at this time. Priority is given to families residing within the drawing area.

Risk Assessment

All new enrolments undergo a risk assessment. You will be required to sign a consent form.

Selective Enrolments

Year 7 enrolments are offered to students who are successful at the Selective Schools Test conducted early in the final year of primary school. This test and all offers of placement are conducted external to the school by the NSW Department of Education and Training (DET), Selective Schools Unit.

Year 8–10 selective enrolments are subject to places available and the meeting of academic criteria. Application must be made formally through the school with as much supporting evidence as possible. Application forms are available from the school towards the end of July each year.

A trained committee, including a parent representative, considers all applications before an offer can be made. Demonstrated evidence of high academic achievement must be evident.

All selective students must be Australian citizens, permanent Australian residents or the child of diplomatic staff.

International and Temporary Visa Holders

Overseas students who are in Australia for study or related purposes are eligible for enrolment at RBSC.

Students who are accepted into the program must proceed to an enrolment interview with the principal or delegate.

Students who are in Australia on temporary visas are eligible for enrolment through this process. Initial application is made to the school before processing by the Temporary Visa Holders Unit at:
